Purple Haze...

Lately I have been completely enamored with purples & lavenders!  I have been planning my first event for Cheeky Chic, coming up at the end of March & my dominant color palette is... purple!

Take a peek at some beautiful spaces with purple incorporated...

I recently completed my inspiration board for my client's event & I will share all the purple goodness later tonight, so be sure to check back!

Leap (in style) into Spring...

Neutrals. Wedges. Woven Straps... fabulously chic for spring...

Wedges are a trend that I am loving for spring 2011.  It's a style of shoe that doesn't scream, "Tries to hard" but rather "She's super chic" while running errands around town...

The neutral color palette for spring is perfect to dress for any occasion. This army green sandal is gorgeous with the tan wood wedge...

Oh hello winter ankle bootie... you're back, but with a spring twist! So lovely...

Add a little 'zip' to your wedge with straps & zippers...

Simple. Comfortable. Dressed up or Down. Gorgeous for spring...

The ultimate Cheeky Chic neutral colored-strappy-wedge!! Love this sandal, in fact, purchased it immediately once I first laid eyes upon them. The open-toed wedge, adorned with studs & a buckle= every fashionistas dream to find their go-to shoe for spring... while it's still winter...

Okay, so I know sky high sandals might not be realistic all the time, so simply remove the thought of the 'wedge' & keep rolling with neutral & super strappy...

... & a twist to your neutral-strappy sandal with a braid...

These flat sandals are so awesome. I love the simple detailing as well as the lace up front...

Round up some Western Chic...

One leading trend that I am loving for spring is western chic...

The look is sexy, rugged, feminine & easy to work into any type of style...

Denim on denim has always been a favorite of mine & to achieve the 'western' look rather than the '80's' look, keep the wash of the denim basic & break apart the two pieces with a leather belt...

I'm sure you automatically think flannel when you think country western, but I personally think it's time to change it up a bit & not be so cliche.  Instead of flannel, try a leather button up for a western twist...

This suede, over-sized pockets vest is a perfect touch of western chic! Paired with tousled loose braid & sundress= perfection...

You cannot go wrong with leather boots & a white linen dress...

This picture is not only gorgeous, but country western to the T!  For most of you, the look is not as realistic for you to wear for your day to day errands. But what I do suggest when you find a photo like this, find a couple pieces on the model that you do adore & implement those into your wardrobe.  For instance, I am loving the knee-high stockings & leather boots...

Now ladies, let's try to steer away from the pigtail braids & into a look that's a little more updated & alluring.  Big, loose curls with some braided accents looks desirably messy...

If you're going to try the cowboy hat, try a flimsy one instead of a structured one...

When pairing your 'western' items, keep the color palette neutral & the accessories bold...

Fringe, Fringe, Fringe!! A look that can be paired with so many trends for spring! I highly suggest investing in a fringe bag, you will not be disappointed...

Leather banded bracelets adorned with silver are a nice addition as well...

Since you probably are aware of my obsession with chunky necklaces, I simply couldn't leave them out for this trend either!  Fun, bright colors with small beading would work perfectly...

& don't forget a touch of turquoise!

A touch of Ikat...

Ikat is such a great pattern to bring dull spaces alive.  The Ikat pattern is so versatile & is found in so many different shades, textures, & styles, it is almost impossible to go wrong. Start with a couple throw pillows...

Or bring life to a featureless room with a beautiful ikat chair. I am adoring the plum ikat on the black frame...

Besides these barn doors being amazing, this rug is a different take on Ikat & is awesome for an entry way...

Pretty & Simple. Perfect for the kitchen...

This table setting is pristine!  I love the Ikat table runners used as individual place mats instead of length wise along the table...

This navy Ikat love seat is gorgeous with the pink roses & silver features of the room...

An Ikat patterened lounger placed in this window box is the perfect amount of energy needed for a space like this.  With the tangerine trim & natural sunlight, I can imagine this is popular space within a home...

For my more daring readers... an Ikat patterned wall paper is extreme, but done very well paired with neutral furniture, fixtures & room accessories.  This office/lounge is done impeccably...

Try Ikat for spring! Start small with some throw pillows or an ikat lamp shade.. you will love the life it brings to a room!

Coral Tote...

Last week when I posted Fly in Style, I had so many inquiries about this amazing coral tote.  Unfortunately this awesome suede bag is completely out of stock.  It was from the Gap, for under $100 & would have been an unbelievable steal & a huge staple item for my wardrobe this spring!

I wanted to share with you all a couple other coral/redish/orangeish totes that I found for you instead.  This is the closest I came to a replica of that great Gap tote, except this one is a Lucky Brand 1968 Fringe Tote & is ALSO sold out!  The only place I have been able to find it is on ebay & I won't even tell you what price it is going for, so for now, just lust over it...

This Tory Burch Nylon Tote is perfect for traveling! It would work great as your carry on as well as transform to a beach bag once at your destination!  I found this bag at Nordstrom for $175...

I am in love with this Marc by Marc Jacobs Nylon tote! I love the tie handles & side pockets.. perfect for traveling. I found this one at Nordstrom as well, but have seen it for a better price on Piperlime too for $178...

A go-to favorite of mine has always been the Longchamp Tote. Virtually ruin-proof, can be easily cleaned, & is perfect for every day errands or traveling.  I found this one at Longchamp.com for $125 in tons of different colors as well...

This Market Tote from Banana Republic is stunning! Simple, high quality, soft leather, & under $100! Snag this bag before it goes! There are a lot of fun colors in this tote, listed below...

Lastly, if you're looking for more of a fun coral pattern than just a basic colored tote, Vera Bradley is always a fun option.  With so many different collections, colors, & styles to choose from.. you cannot go wrong with a tote from there! This is the Vera Folkloric for $78...

I HAD TO SHARE THIS BAG WITH YOU!! I am lusting over this Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy Leather Pearl Handbag for summer!!  They call it 'Froggie Green' but I prefer my new favorite color for spring... JADE! Amazing!  I found this bag on Zappos for a better price than anywhere else I looked.  Froggie Green Marc Jacobs... you WILL be mine!!
