The Indoor Patterned Pathway...

An interior decorating trend that is becoming more & more desirable, is dramatic patterned floors...

Whether in the hallway, great room or bathroom- these style floors are making a statement...

There's definitely something classic about a black & white tiled patterned floor & I love that I am seeing the trend pop up in larger spaces & different arrangements...

Simple, yet bold.  Authentic, yet refreshing. Classy, yet timeless...

How do you guys feel about patterned floors?

Give Me More:

I am obsessing over the peek-a-boo look for fall!  Especially with a nude & black combo- this look is perfectly playful & easy to play around with.  If you're concerned that your peek-a-boo look will too closely resemble that of a negligee- here are a few ways to combat that mistake.  Start with 1 of your favorite black & nude combo...

Pair it with other bold features.  Striking cherry pants & a simple black heel with a voluminous feature (bow) work perfectly with this look.  Tie in other accessories that work best with the overall look that you are going for...

The difficult part about a black lace & nude undertone skirt- is that it walks the thin line of looking like an undergarment. Counter the 'sexy' feature with 'sophisticated' features & worry no longer!  Pair with a neutral blazer & another fall trend: cobalt!

These chic peek-a-boo heels are perfectly endearing for a casual evening.  Pair with black jeggings, a bold collared white blouse & coral accessories...

Another trend for fall that I am seeing all over the runways is Emerald!  What better way than to combine two trends than with a statement pair of emerald earrings & a tea party style peek-a-boo dress...

Again if you are nervous about the peek-a-boo look, looking too much like an undergarment- add color!  Play around with color & other bold features & you cannot go wrong!

Woman Cave Inspiration...

I am in the process of designing a faboosh Woman Cave!  A perfectly chic hideout, tucked away with pretty things & gorgeous furniture.  There are three main features that will help you acquire the quintessential Woman Cave...

As you know, I am obsessed with that mirror desk- but I also love dated, unique furniture.  It reminds me of royalty & what woman doesn't want her cave to resemble a Queen's?!

A Woman Cave would not be complete without a few statement features.  An entire room that is 'over-the-top' is not entirely bad, but to keep the space comfortable, limit your statement pieces to a handful.  Whenever I can find quality replicas of these three statement pieces- they will be mine! I have been drooling over that ship chandelier for years!  The perfect way to offset any dramatic piece, is to add a bold patterned rug.  I also adore that gold mirror- again... royalty themed...

Lastly, do not forget simple, comfortable features! This is your hideaway, it needs to be cozy!  Add flowers & your favorite brand candles to keep the space fresh!  Also add pillows & luxurious throws to add to that cozy feel.  And lastly, add a touch of inspiration with different art that truly moves you!!

Here is my mash-up of different inspirational rooms & pieces that I would like to draw looks from for my own chic cave...

Lovely in Lace...

One trend that is popping up every where as we transition from summer to fall, is lace...

Literally seen everywhere, from on a new trendy manicure...

... to a casual high waisted skirt...

...& on fall handbags...

...& summer sundresses!!

But where I am adoring the lace most, is on a cropped pair of shorts!  Paired perfectly with a bright t-shirt, allows this look to remain summery & fresh...

The nice part about these bloomer style shorts is that they are so versatile as we slowly move into the next season.  For a less bright & dramatic look, pair with darker features such as a belt & ankle booties...

As we slip deeper into the fall months, don't plan on packing your lace shorts away!  Keep them around for awhile- just slip on a sheer pair of tights underneath & knee high boots!

Add a draping scarf & light weight blazer for a fun new end of the summer trend...
