Harmonizing Masculine & Feminine...

One of my favorite style techniques is combining extreme features, subtly.  I love being able to intermix attributes together, that you normally wouldn't imagine would collaborate together, yet done in a very serene way.  For instance, a soft pale pink integrated with a polished ebony...

I love the way those 2 colors play off one another in harmony.  Keeps living spaces proportionate, while adding a touch of enticement...

The bedroom is one of the most difficult places for so many to decorate, without feeling each significant other losing their identity.  A subtle mix of masculine & feminine features (or in this case, colors) allow a  bedroom to coexist...

Pastels with a rose tint remain updated with ebony components.  The space feels updated rather than old fashioned, & alluring rather than simply delicate...

Perfect touch of masculine & feminine in an entry way space...

These color combinations do not need to reside strictly within the house either!  Play around with the 2 color palettes & find unique shades that work for you.  When you find the colors that you enjoy, next think texture.  Mix different masculine textures with subtle feminine...

... & you will have something as amazing as this!  Quintessential harmonizing of masculine & feminine features...

Fashion Icon: Grace Kelly...

I read this somewhere & agreed 100% percent...
"It's time to touch back to our style roots & stop idolizing the cast of the Jersey Shore..."

So true! In so many ways!  My ultimate favorite Fashion Icon has been Grace Kelly.  Her elegance mixed with alluring poise will undoubtedly be prevalent for years to come.  Her style is refined & graceful with a touch of cheeky-ness!

One of my most favorite style that is still around thanks to so many of our earlier fashion icons is the retro bikini!  The style remains playful, sexy, & forever distinct...

Another look I am loving is the Full Matte Red Lip...

... And without a doubt, sophisticated Pastels...

Who are your fashion Icons?

Slither into Spring... On a Budget...

So I received a lot of emails about interest in Snake Skin Adorned Heels & I wanted to share with you all some great styles I found, for a girl on a budget!  All of these are under $100 & would be fabulous to add to your closet for this spring & summer!

Another inquiry I received was pertaining specifically what to wear heels like these with?  My suggestions are to always, always, always keep it simple!  In order for this pattern to not look tacky, keep the rest of your outfit downplayed with neutral colors & subtle fabrics.

Top Shop: $70...

Top Shop: $65...

Jessica Simpson: $72...

Jessica Simpson: $72...

Jessica Simpson: $89...

Jessica Simpson: $98...

And let's all drool over these for awhile...

Rock & Republic: $325...

From Paris, With Love...

With Spring & Summer right around the corner, I cannot help but reminded of the time I spent in Paris. There are four main things that I adored about Paris...

The historic, yet intricate architecture...

... Bold Patterns while you peruse the city of Love...

Gorgeous & intimate one-of-a-kind Boutiques...

... And my Ultimate Favorite... the Parisian Style!!  It's a mischievous twist on Rocker Chic & I can't get enough of it for Spring, here in MN...

I love how you can mix such bold features with feminine features & still achieve a well put together look...

LOVE the leather thigh high boots paired with sheer lace & an over-sized sweater coat...

Another style that I loved about Paris was their whimsical french flair...

Pale Shades, Lace, Knitting & loosely tied tresses will help you achieve a whimsical look...

...Breathtaking & not nearly as inspiring as being there, this photo does not do the city any justice...

... Me!! :)  in one of my favorite cities...

Slither into Spring...

One accessory that I am loving for spring is subtle pops of Snake Skin...

This simple snake adorned clip belt is a perfect dash of sass for any bold outfit...

...Or stay simple with a cocoa colored Snake Skin skinny belt...

Add to your style, with a safari twist, by keeping your Snake themed accessories simple & unembellished...

One trend that I cannot keep my hands off is a great pair of neutral colored, snake skin, shoes! Whether you find a stylish pair of pumps, sandals or wedges, keep the color tone of the snake skin safe & bland with neutral colors.  Let the animal print do all the talking... (or in this case walking)

Pair your LBD with a cute snake skin cluth...

...Or be daring with snake skin tote!
