Color Blocks of...

One very trendy look for summer, is pairing neon with neon...

Think 'Highlighter' bright...

The trend has been all over the runway.  Whether the flashy color is combined with another beaming color or paired alone, the main concept is: bold, bright, & no need to coincide...

Here are some neon accessory trends that I have put together for you:

If you are like me, pairing a bunch of neon colors, is not your thing.  But that does not mean I will shy from attempting the trend!  I just would tone it down a bit & try a bright, yet pair it with a neutral...

Combining white with a neon will make your whites brighter & draw attention to your neon...

Neon is intended to be fun, flirty & cheeky!  Try the color in a sundress or fun summer style...

Not only is the trend a fashion style, but it has also become a distinguished interior trend as well...

Simple pops of neon color allow a somber room to feel stimulating & dramatic...

What will you pair this trend with?

Tips On Bringing It All Together...

A good friend of mine asked me to help her find accessories/shoes to go with her new Birthday Dress.  I want to use how I styled her, to show you all how easy it can be to bring an entire 'look' together.  Here, is her dress.  It is a Juicy Couture 'Avery' Paisley-Print Silk Dress & like most other women, this was the easiest part.  You know what style dress you are looking for, for the occasion, you find it, you love it, & then what?

I always always always suggest finding a shoe first!  Often times, I find a shoe that I become obsessed with & THEN try to find a dress to go with it.  But in this case, she has found the dress already & is looking for guidance in the shoe & accessory part.  Instead of the slate colored pumps shown with the dress in the picture above, I opted for a neutral flesh toned closed toe pump, with a heel bow.  The dress has a lot going on, colors, patterns & drapery, let the dress do the talking & a stylish pair of shoes do the walking...

From there I work with accessories, but I need to determine what I want to be the focal point of the outfit.  Clearly, the dress is dramatic & is going to be our center of attention.  Since there is already a cinched tie around the neckline, I would opt for accessories other than a necklace.  Here I went with simple gold pieces: One, thin, navy blue adorned jewel, gold bangle, simple gold droplet earrings, & a fabulous navy & robins egg blue cocktail ring that complies with both shades of blue within her dress...

Since it is her Birthday event, she more than likely will not be carrying a large purse with her, so elect something simpler, like this gunmetal wristlet.  Also, a nice pair of gold aviators would definitely go great with the ease of the dress...

As far as lipstick & polish goes, I wanted to do something that obviously played up the scarlet within her dress.  If I were to suggest a nude lip & polish (something less substantial) then I would highly suggest significantly larger accessories.  But since I wanted to do a cherry lip, I kept the accessories simple, especially those around her face (earrings).  And lastly, it's HER birthday so the attention will already be on her, but just in case, splurge on a fun new flirty scent!

Lets bring the entire look together:

1. Juicy Couture Avery Paisley Print Silk Dress $198
2. DV by Dolce Vita Pumps $89
3. Tinky Road Gold Bangle $24
4. Kenith Cole Gold Drop Earrings $45
5. NYC cocktail ring $24
6. Marc by Marc Jacobs Clutch $148
7. DVF Aviator Shades $165
8. MAC Sheer Lipstick $14.50
9. Juicy Couture Peace, Love & Couture $47
10. Essie Nail Polish in Apertif $8

Coral Tote...

Last week when I posted Fly in Style, I had so many inquiries about this amazing coral tote.  Unfortunately this awesome suede bag is completely out of stock.  It was from the Gap, for under $100 & would have been an unbelievable steal & a huge staple item for my wardrobe this spring!

I wanted to share with you all a couple other coral/redish/orangeish totes that I found for you instead.  This is the closest I came to a replica of that great Gap tote, except this one is a Lucky Brand 1968 Fringe Tote & is ALSO sold out!  The only place I have been able to find it is on ebay & I won't even tell you what price it is going for, so for now, just lust over it...

This Tory Burch Nylon Tote is perfect for traveling! It would work great as your carry on as well as transform to a beach bag once at your destination!  I found this bag at Nordstrom for $175...

I am in love with this Marc by Marc Jacobs Nylon tote! I love the tie handles & side pockets.. perfect for traveling. I found this one at Nordstrom as well, but have seen it for a better price on Piperlime too for $178...

A go-to favorite of mine has always been the Longchamp Tote. Virtually ruin-proof, can be easily cleaned, & is perfect for every day errands or traveling.  I found this one at Longchamp.com for $125 in tons of different colors as well...

This Market Tote from Banana Republic is stunning! Simple, high quality, soft leather, & under $100! Snag this bag before it goes! There are a lot of fun colors in this tote, listed below...

Lastly, if you're looking for more of a fun coral pattern than just a basic colored tote, Vera Bradley is always a fun option.  With so many different collections, colors, & styles to choose from.. you cannot go wrong with a tote from there! This is the Vera Folkloric for $78...

I HAD TO SHARE THIS BAG WITH YOU!! I am lusting over this Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy Leather Pearl Handbag for summer!!  They call it 'Froggie Green' but I prefer my new favorite color for spring...
